Ferroalloys are iron-based alloys containing significant proportions of elements such as chromium, manganese, silicon, molybdenum, or other metals. They are primarily used during steelmaking to introduce specific alloying elements, control chemical composition, assist with deoxidation, and improve the mechanical, chemical, and physical properties of finished steel.

Prime Petrochem can supply major commercially traded ferroalloys including Ferrochrome (FeCr), Ferromanganese (FeMn), Ferrosilicon (FeSi), and Silicomanganese (SiMn), as well as selected specialty ferroalloys subject to producer availability and customer requirements. Different grades and compositions can be sourced according to the intended steelmaking, foundry, or metallurgical application.

Ferroalloys play a critical role in the production of carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and specialty steel products. Ferrochrome is principally used to introduce chromium into stainless and alloy steels, while ferromanganese and silicomanganese provide manganese for steelmaking. Ferrosilicon is widely used as a source of silicon and as a deoxidizing agent in steel and foundry operations.

Products can be supplied in various sizes, grades, chemical compositions, and commercial packaging configurations according to producer capabilities and buyer specifications. Shipments can be supported by relevant documentation, including Certificate of Analysis (COA), Certificate of Origin, packing and weight documentation, and shipping documents, with independent inspection arranged where required.
